The promotional site does not currently include AdSense code or ad placements. This page will be updated if advertising or another storage technology is introduced.
What are cookies and similar storage?
Cookies are small files stored by a website in a browser. Websites can also use browser storage such as local storage and session storage. They can remember preferences, keep a service working between page views, or help measure activity.
Storage used by Meme Machine
The promotional page does not intentionally create first-party cookies or analytics identifiers. If you change the light/dark setting, it saves that preference in local browser storage. Its sharing feature calls the browser’s native share tool or clipboard only when you select the share button.
The separate game uses browser storage so it can remember a player between visits and reconnect them to a room:
- Local storage: a random player identifier, display name, avatar choice, and sound preference. These remain in the browser until cleared.
- Session storage: the current room code used to reconnect during the browser session.
Clearing browser storage may reset your saved preferences or make room reconnection unavailable. See the Privacy Policy for details about information processed by the multiplayer game.
Third-party services
The promotional page loads font files from Google Fonts. This can send standard request information to Google when the fonts are requested. You can block external requests in your browser; a system font will be used instead.
Advertising cookies if ads are added
If we enable Google AdSense or another ad provider, the provider and its authorized partners may store or read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses, browser identifiers, and similar technologies to serve, personalize, measure, and limit ads. Google’s advertising cookies can help Google and partners show ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this or other websites.
When ads are enabled, this policy will name the providers actually configured and include their privacy and opt-out links. Users can manage Google personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings; participating third-party vendors can also be opted out of at aboutads.info.
Before serving personalized Google ads in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the publisher must use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. We will not enable personalized ads in those regions until the required consent setup is in place. See Google’s publisher consent requirements.
Control browser storage
You can review, block, or clear cookies and site storage using your browser’s privacy settings. Browser controls vary by device. Blocking all storage may affect the game’s ability to remember your name or reconnect to a room.
